TRANSFORMING A HOME TO CREATE A LUXURY KITCHEN FOR FAMILY LIFE AND ENTERTAINING

A Young professional couple had just bought a 2002 built house which had décor of 1990’s style. They wanted to make it into their forever home for their family. They wanted to put a large kitchen with open living space which could double for entertaining their friends, but required a helping hand to decide where the best place for it was and how it could be done. After consultations with Mike Hughes he opened their eyes to how modern their home could be by opening up rooms, and windows to let the light flow through. A new doorway was opened up from the hallway adding modern double glass doors. Three rooms were opened up to create the space required, through our small building partner, windows were relocated, now with a black modern look, putting a bi-fold door opposite the kitchen.
The Kitchen includes maximum storage space for the family to use, allows the parents to watch over their children whilst cooking and be still able to engage with them.
A wrap over breakfast style bar in Dekton was designed to join the island for casual dining, as they were to have a dining table too for the more formal occasions. A TV/Media unit was created in the living area, and a second TV was framed opposite the breakfast bar for ease of use. A Utility room was created separately. It was a huge project for us as they asked us to continue to redevelop other areas including Fitted Bedrooms, all designed by Mike Hughes, Installation by our incredible skilled installation team, and project managed by Mike working alongside our partner trades for windows, small building work, plastering, decorating, electrics and tiling.
The Kitchen is now a wonderful open space to cook, have family time, watch tv, entertain friends and family with luxury Siemens studioLine latest cooking technology, a Coffee Centre, and a luxury Tall Wine Cooler for entertaining, and has plenty of storage, all with Technology at their fingertips. The clients were delighted!
