Since 1987 we have been bringing outstanding kitchens and bedrooms to homes in Barrow-in-Furness and across the South Lakes and our company remains in the hands of the same professional family-run team today. With a keen eye for detail, it was when working in installations that our director Mike Hughes first had the idea to start up his own interiors company, and since then we have gone on to win numerous awards for our superb designs and exceptional service. At Mike Hughes Fitted Interiors, we understand that embarking on such a big project to transform your home can seem daunting, but with our unrivalled expertise and our dedicated team of designers and installers, we take care of everything, making sure you feel supported and confident along the way.
Beginning with a visit to our Barrow showroom, we work closely with you to understand the vision you have for your space, advising on ranges and colourways, plus built-in appliances can be demonstrated. We’ll discuss whether you need small building work, or are wanting to open up rooms with partition walls, we would assess electrics and plumbing on our site visit, but can discuss lighting, flooring options or decorating to be included in your project. We offer a complete service. We have a trusted team of partner tradesmen who we’ve worked with for many years and trust to carry out our work to the highest standards. Our director and project manager Mike Hughes is happy to work with builders and architects, as required. At Mike Hughes Fitted Interiors, our experienced team takes care of every detail to ensure your transformation runs smoothly from start to finish.

We have carefully selected our supply partners, ensuring they share our values. Keller Kitchens, for example, utilises a certified carbon-neutral manufacturing process. Our other brands, Milano, Laura Ashley, and Daval, have also made strides towards sustainable practices by implementing biomass boilers that convert offcuts and waste into usable energy. They also use responsibly sourced, FSC-certified timber and incorporate recycled materials where possible. Additionally, we offer guidance on enhancing the efficiency of your new kitchen or bedroom by recommending energy-saving lighting and home appliances. We operate our showroom on an appointment only basis which allows us to minimise energy consumption, and we also dispose of waste created during your project responsibly. As Barrow-in-Furness and the South Lakes leading interiors experts, you can find our wonderful showroom, which is housed inside an industrial unit opening up to two floors of beautiful Kitchens & Bedroom roomsets, located on Park Road, which is the main A590 approach to Barrow’s retail parks. Our showroom is less than half an hour from The Lake District and is just around a 40-minute drive from Kendal and Millom areas.
