COUNTRY COTTAGE IN THE LAKE DISTRICT
Lake District
A couple bought their dream home, a pre1900 converted watermill, in 2022. They wanted to redesign the kitchen/dining area to create a ‘wow factor’ and approached us for help. After much discussion with Mike, they felt happy with all their decisions and got their own builder to do the internal construction work.
We worked with them along the way, giving advice on utility placements, so we perfected the build with the beautiful Laura Ashley painted kitchen, installed with attention to detail in all areas. The painted kitchen looks stunning against the beamed ceiling.
We tailored the design to their requirements, with modern Siemens appliances, including an inductAir hob which ensures an elegant aesthetic (no cooker hood).
A modern Siemens aCool tall wine cooler was framed with the furniture to stay more in keeping. Of course, there is plenty more behind closed doors for their utility needs.
Wooden worktops on the breakfast bar and across the window areas bring warmth and character to the space, in keeping with the style of the property. Low drawers created extra storage. The quartz worktops complemented the colourways of the furniture perfectly.
A Belfast twin sink was a must for the cottage and looks superb with the patinaed brass Quooker tap, as does the pantry cupboard on the bank of units alongside a tall built-in fridge and a tall freezer. Our partner tiler completed the tiling. Doesn’t it look stunning?
